On February 20, 2015, The National Public Health Laboratory was accredited by the Lithuanian National Accreditation Bureau in accordance with LST EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018. The accreditation certificate entitles the Laboratory to carry out tests using accredited methods. The accreditation certificate is valid until February 13, 2025.
Chemical materials include materials and articles in contact with foodstuffs; drinking water; surface water; ground water; swimming pool water; waste water; meat and meat products; foodstuffs and meals; ambient air in the working environment; ambient and residential air; sludge; treated bio-wastes; soil; and wastes.
Microbiological materials encompass tap water, borehole water, well water, spring water, mineral water, bulk water, swimming pool water, hydrotherapy water, mineral bath water, bathing water, and open water sources. It also includes chemical disinfectants and antiseptics, excluding handwashing and disinfecting agents; sterile medical aids for defining, validating, and monitoring the sterilization process; sterile pharmaceutical products; non-sterile pharmaceutical products; air; non-food surfaces; biological indicators for assessing the control of sterilizers; non-sterile respiratory systems and their components; peloids; cosmetic products; and foodstuffs.
Physical materials include lighting in the working environment; acoustic noise in the working environment; vibration in the working environment; microclimate in the working environment; electromagnetic fields in the working environment; solarium equipment; acoustic noise in the residential and public environment; engineering equipment in buildings; microclimate in the residential and public environment; and electromagnetic fields in the residential and public environment.
On July 3, 2020, The National Public Health Laboratory was accredited by the Lithuanian National Accreditation Bureau in accordance with LST EN ISO 15189:2013. The accreditation certificate entitles the Laboratory to perform virological, serological and molecular biological tests using accredited methods. The accreditation certificate is valid until July 2, 2025.
