Comprehensive environmental health impact assessment of risk factors

National Public Health Surveillance Laboratory Health Risk Factors Assessment department performs a comprehensive environmental health impact assessment of physical and chemical risk factors, odors and other.

Environmental health impact assessment is carried out in the following cases:

  •  Preparing strategic environmental assessment documents;

  •  Preparing environmental impact assessment documents;

  •  Preparing health impact assessment documents;

  •  Estimating proposed or existing sanitary protection zone;

  •  Preparing Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) permits;

  •  Preparing spatial planning documents and construction projects;

  •  In other cases where it is necessary to carry out environmental health impact assessment of physical  (noise, infrasound and low frequency noise, vibration, electromagnetic fields, climate, lighting) and chemical risk factors, odors and other;

National Public Health Surveillance Laboratory performing environmental health impact assessment of risk factors using modern methods of analysis and various techniques of pollution dispersion modeling: ADMS-Urban (air pollution and odor) program, IMMI (noise) program and the geographic information system (ArcGIS 10.0).

To ensure the public health, environmental health impact assessment identifies, describes and evaluates solutions related to the current and predicted impact on public health and / or the environment.

National Public Health Surveillance Laboratory has a right to make public health impact assessment in accordance with the State Health Care Accreditation Agency under the Ministry of Health license (license number 42, 05/17/2004, revised: 25/03/2010).
